Fathers sledge faster
Lens: Kit Lens Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Berlin (The Friedrichshain) ISO: 100

I tested my action capabilities at a park in Berlin called Friedrichshain.

Here is a series just of fathers roughly sledging their offspring*. Was unbelievable funny just to watch that fathers becoming 5 year old boys again - even without taking pictures of them...

These are so much fun - reminds me of when we lived where there are both hills and snow, neither of which is in abundance here.

Terrific shots.

Those are some really great shots!

I love #1 and #2 for the expressions! Wonderful!

I love #6 because they are getting some pretty serious air for a sled - they MUST be moving right along!

Really great work!

Oh no, they are not! I like that the daughter is wearing a helmet, though. You should see my 4.5 year old daughter on the ice in the hockey rink!

You've caught quite some expressions there.

The second one is great. Really nice flying snow and panning effect on the background.

You don't see wooden sleds in the US! A place I went when I was younger had an ice track and wooden toboggans which are now replaced by plastic ones.

Thanks a lot! And... I guess the sled in #6 landed somehow safe over 200m down there.

What a pitty! The wooden once last 50 years and longer... and they are faster and even daddy can use them easily... I see a great export marked for wooden sleds from Germany, Switzerland and Austria to the US!

Thank you, Bob.

Just for the record: Here you get an overview over the scenery, how the light was (not soo good) and how many people have been there... And that there where mothers, grandpas and just kids on sleds too. But fathers... where so damn fast!
