Ice Play
Posted By: jpzk, 12-07-2010, 07:00 PM

A few shots taken during a cold snap and following street repair work ... the crew had the "main" wide opened to let some water pressure out and the result was a nice spray covering the nearby tree.
Children seemed to enjoy that too.

Help needed again: how can I get those photos sharper here? They, again look so washed out once they end up in any post/thread.

JP

Chilly scenes.
They look quite sharp to me - no washed out look either in these resized images.
Attached images can be resized further by the forum's own JPEG compression program and so the images may turn out less impressive than the originals.

Thanks, David.

Great blue sky ... great contrast and a great lens!

Thanks again, Ash.

Perhaps I am too darn picky! but each time I post a photo here, I am always dissatisfied with the rendering.
But as you say, the compression must have something to do with it.

Cheers!
