K-5 stains
Lens: Helios-44K-4 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Wageningen, NL ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/8s
Posted By: Rense, 12-10-2010, 05:07 AM

With all the fuzz about the stains on the sensor of the K-5 - which I happen to have, btw, both the K-5 as well as the stains - I thought I'd show some real fuzzy dots.

I think these stains go away as soon as you hold your camera still

I like vertical panning, but I guess I'm one of the few people here, seeing the lack of comments.

I guess so Karen, I guess so.....:ugh:
But I know some of these photos are appreciated, others don't. And probably
other viewers are disappointed there are no real K-5 stains in this one (although
my camera has them! )

That's too bad Rense, about the real stains. Those kind of things suck.

But at least you are dealing with them with a little sense of humor and I think that's better than only complain about it. Easy for me to say, of course, not having a stained K5. But hey, I don't even have a K5.

Can't keep up with all these images. This is very nice Rense. If you ever feel it needs more definition, try a little unsharp mask and then resharpen. But looks great the way it is.

What a great picture this is Rense! Going out taking real (or better in this case "unreal") pictures is for sure the best way to work around any "stain issue".

This is very nice. I love this kind of work. The colors are gorgeous too.

JMR, I wanted it this way, a little soft.... Therefore I reduced clarity in LightRoom to almost -100.... I liked it better this way
But thank you anyway for your suggestion!

I love nature abstracts, and the colors and shapes in this one are very appealing. I knew what the subject was because of the title, but would never have been able to tell otherwise!

BTW, Rense, do you find that the infamous SOP stains are noticeable in your photos when you process them?

I can't tell right now.... I did not notice them, but I made only landscape photos and
this kind of blurs....

Should try a decent macro one of these days to try, but the bugs are long gone....

You need to raise some bugs inside your home, Rense. I have a few spiders who might like to take a vacation
