Quote: Like Heinrich, I prefer the first one, which is really well done, buddy. Far cry from our part of the world - we're supposed to hit a high of around 80 F (27 C) this afternoon!
Jer
Thanks Jer. I was trying to see how much detail I could bring out in the dark areas without blown out the water and snow. It was not easy and I think I am still a bit off. I took about 30 shots changing F stop and shitter speed. Next time I may include adjusting the ISO to 400-800 to get the shutter speed ever faster. Its a balancing act and more of the learning curve for me. JIM
Quote: That's a beautiful falls, Jim. I think I prefer the second crop best but both are appealing. The second one shows the lovely blue-green color of the water in the plunge pool to best advantage, and I like that.
Thank you Tamia. Always appreciate you commenting on my hobby. JIM
Quote: These are terrific. I'm taking a backpacking trip in a couple of weeks and there are normally some frozen falls there too. I'll use your photos as inspiration.
Awesome. Can hardly wait to see your photo's. I have a place I will go to for frozen falls in January. JIM
Quote: Great shots as always Jim. The first is my favorite. Now if Jer would just take some warm weather pictures I would feel better.
80 would be nice but I could not take Jer's summer weather!! JIM
Quote: These are both great shots Jim. Chilly.
Thank Joni. Not up to your standard but ?I do enjoy learning and hopefully getting there one day. Best to yours over the Holidays. JIM
