A New Pentaxian
Camera: K-7

These are as close I come to portraits. DH has my old K100DSuper and, although it bugs the heck out of me, he really has a good eye. I know the horizon on the beach shot is too centered but I can't have a do-over. Sigh.

I think that the 1st picture is great just as it is now. The 2 reds are balancing each other in a nice way, and the horizon "cuts" them apart just from the middle of them.

The first could be brightened a tiny bit. It is a good photo. IMO whenever possible something red should appear in a photo. Red is a great reference. The idea of the second photo
escapes me.

Apart from some haloing and oversaturation #1 is pleasant.
Thanks for sharing Susan.

Well Sparkle some of your comments escape me also so I guess we are now even.
They were just photos of my DH nothing more, nothing less but I liked them.

Thanks Bob, Ash (I think you may be right about the over-sat on the first one), tpg2 and e-bar. Appreciate the comments.

Susan, that first one is an amazing example of the contrapoint principle imo. The
two red subjects are perfectly balanced, and that makes good for the central
horizon. It couldn't have been better, I think.

In that respect, I think the second one isn't as good as the first.
