Cosmin, this is beautiful. Very nice B&W with good tonal range and whispers of highlight detail nicely complemented by the dark silhouettes. I really like the composition with all the elements drawing you to the fisherman. Great work. I'm glad you shared this. Regards.

In addition to what SWEngineer said, I love the combination of softness in the foreground, and sharpness of the reflections and the tree towards the center of the photo, great use of depth of field.

The fishing pole suffered a little in the resize, but I'll bet it looks great in the original!!

Hello and thank you very much to all of you.

Yes on the original the fishing pole is ok. I noticed it too. Thank you again.

Regards,
Cosmin.

That's my kind of picture, beautiful photo and great use of B&W. I've got a picture I've been working on in B&W and I was thinking of posting it until I saw this and I realized I'm not worthy. You guys are good, real good.

I have to agree this is definitely my kind of shot. Beautiful work. Tones are perfect and the scene is captured superbly.

Not only beautiful, it makes me envious of the angler!

I used to go fishing all day every Thursday with a friend. Often we would catch nothing and my wife would wonder why we went. I told that catching fish isn't the point of going fishing. If I just wanted fish, it would be easier and cheaper to go to the market and buy them.
