That's another great set - some wonderful shots in there. I love #4 for the smile on his face matching the logo on his guitar. #6, 7, 8, 9 & 17 also stand out. I'll say it again .... you have a genuine photographer's eye.

More than attempted. Nice work. I like your BW.
The 5th, is it really 50mm? Looks wider.

Truth is that often many of us who enjoy street shooting does so closed down quite a bit to get a deeper DOF and make it easier to catch focus on rapidly changing situations. Of course, street shots could benefit as much as other types of photo from a shorter DOF and isolated background. But it is difficult. Youv'e done a good job at it.

Perhaps, Douglas, you should open a thread on Climate Change and Global Warming. Should get a lot of interesting debate (?) opinions and comments. Reliable measurements etc. will pose problems. LOL

Posted in the "Critique" section, I think?

"See: "Post Your Photos" - "Attempted street photography", today, Jan. 3, 2011.

IMO that 17 year old kid's photos are way better than those of Vivian Maier!"

Hi Cameo I won't comment on the series at the moment but I'd like to see it edited right down, perhaps to 4-5 images of a strong calibre. For example, I think 19 and 16 could go right away.

Do you mean I should post in the critique section? And wow! that's a bit of an overcompliment I think I'm just an amateur starting out.

Stephen, this is more than an attempt, you do have some wonderful images here but CWyatt is right, pick the best 5 images or so and make it a strong series.
