Description: On the tideflats of Fir Island, WA a couple photographers enjoy a posing session from a Short-eared Owl.

Don't understand the criteria for the selection of this one. IMO the photo is washed out and does not describe anything other than the failure of the photographer to have the photo tell its own story. I may be wrong. I've been wrong before. Or...maybe not. LOL
