Never get to say this often, IMO, a tad underexposure for both is needed. The snow will be a bit brown but the footsteps and the man will be in better view and contrast. PP to take out the roof of a building in each and give a better impression of isolated vastness.

I love the first one Iris. The house doesn't bother me at all as I think it adds to the feel of the overall photo, a single person and one house in the wilderness kind of thing.
