We have visited Death Valley many times over the years during our travels, but this time decided we would take the dirt road from Beatty Nevada through Titus Canyon and then finally descend into Death Valley.

Nice view on #2.

I am reminded of the saying that the better your off-road vehicle, the further from civilization you'll get stuck.

Luckily for me, it was only 3/4 mile. Celica's do not do well in sand, it turns out...

There are several places on this 30 miles or so of dirt where you need 4X4, but the view is worth it. thanks Bob

These are some sweet photos Bob, thanks for taken us for this ride. We have never been to that part of the country and that makes them more wonderful.

Bob, that is on the agenda for next year along with Joshua Tree NP on our way back from Alaska (if I get my way). Thanks for sharing these and whetting my appetite. I especially like the first and last ones.

We were there years back. Had to visit the lowest point (-282 feet+/-) in NA. Felt a bit afraid. Pretty, but very isolated place.
