Sky Islands Part I (Davis Mountains SP)
Posted By: Matthew Roberts, 10-03-2007, 08:24 PM

The Davis Mountains, a little piece of heaven (or maybe Colorado or New Mexico) in West Texas, which receive almost 10" more annual rainfall than the surrounding Chihuahuan Desert! And where I went last weekend! Taken with SMCP-DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and SMCP-FA-J 75-300mm f/4.5-5.8 AL.

Thank you, Peter. Did you, by the way, check out the link to the full gallery.

Roentarre, it has to be one of my favorite places in the world, extremely dark at night, can see so many stars that it's hard to see the seperate constellations! And the mountains are so lush compared to the surrounding desert!
