Bridge over the Madawaska
Camera: Optio W10 & Optio W80 Photo Location: Algonquin, Ontario
Posted By: tessfully, 01-09-2011, 04:31 PM

This is a series of photos of a bridge that captured my imagination. The first was taken with my first Pentax camera, an Optio W10, and the rest a year later with my Optio W80. I now have a Pentax Kx and will re-shoot this bridge yet again, next fall. Suggestions and comments most welcome.

Bridge over the Madawaska

Attached is my suggested perspective. Hope you don't mind.

Emphasize the bridge, use it as a frame, increase the f value to get best DOF, get the colours right.

Nice reflections.

Thank you hcc and Scott. So happy you dropped in and took time to comment. It helps know what people prefer. I took way too many on that day and now feel incapable of rational thought where the compositions are concerned. But, I have always had a thing for the second and fourth. Thank you again.

Sparkle, love what you did with that picture. Most appreciated! I will work with the DOF, try what you suggested. Thanks...

I hope with my new camera the light and colours will be better, easier to work with. No matter what I try I cannot get rid of the blue and purples in some of these shots. I guess I have the shadows up to much, but I also don't want to lose the details in the dark.

I'll keep learning as I play. Thanks again.......
