They really are beautiful birds, Harish. Tell me, did you shoot those at the Cove? I love number 4.

Some cracking shots there but I think I like #4 the best.

Shutter speed ? Tripod ? How far away were you ?

Fine captures of wicked looking birds. The last shot with contrasting deep blue water against the light rocks captured me for a couple minutes.

I can not remember the shutter speed but, it was overcast so, I remember shooting mostly at 1/640 in AV mode.
I used Gitzo 1338 with Gizo ball head which is definitely not a good choice with a long lens especially with FA300 since it lacks a lens collar.

I was about 50 feet away from the subects I think.

This is another bird I haven't seen, but I spent most of my life on the Mojave Desert, all we have are crows. Great shots, I enjoyed viewing them. Bob
