Wet Fog

I played around with focal length on these two. First shot at 16mm and the second at 50mm. I think I am prefering the wider angle shot!! Cheers JIMBO

PS: Looks like the K20 and 16-50 can handle the weather ok!!

I will take the 16 over the 50mm in this case, but the 50 sure gives a wild reflection. You sure have a variance of weather up there, sure makes for interesting photography. thanks Bob

I prefer the 16 as well, but the rain really creates a stunning effect on the 50. Something about the rain lines crossing the line of reflection is captivating

Real good images Jim, I also prefer the first one but if you'd crop about half an inch from the top and about 11/2 inches from the right and with a little more PP you'd be able to see the rain lines

Just to be different I prefer the second one - is it falling rain? It has an interesting abstract effect to it.

Hey RobG, does the rain rise, rather than fall, Down Under?

No, gravity still points to the center of the earth, although the folks in Queensland are wishing that the rain would stop falling for a while! Given the time of year in the Northern Hemisphere I thought it could have been snow in the photo, or perhaps sleet given that it's falling so straight.

Appreciate everyone that commented. Henrich. I have already taken some off the top. The full version shows the rain much better. Cheers JIMBO

Love that first one! Not my kind of weather, but I enjoy viewing it...somewhere else. The second shot tends to "grow on you" if viewed several times...at least it did with me.
Regards!
