SeaWorld shots
Posted By: mediaslinky, 10-06-2007, 05:11 AM

We went to SeaWorld this week. At the shows I used the DS and my Vivitar 75-205. It was actually to long a lens at times. The manual nature of the lens combined with quick shots of whales and dolphins leaping made it challenging and fun.

Since it was bright, my aperture was stopped down pretty good, and I had a large depth of field, which helped me capture mostly in focus shots. The shutter was between 1/800 and 1/1000 most times.

Any comments about how to capture fast shots with manual lens better are appreciated... I always have trouble with aperture settings on the fly. Seems like I always over compensate.
