Lens: DA 18-55 AL Camera: K100 D Super ISO: 200
Posted By: ismaelg, 01-16-2011, 08:12 AM

Hi,

Some Black and White conversions from a recent local auto show.

All with Pentax K100D Super
DA 18-55 AL kit lens
Mostly manual or AV exposures
Converted to B&W in Photoshop, playing with red, blue and yellow channels adjustments.

Thanks,

Man - these are something. The compositions, exposure and B&W conversions are exceptional. I was 11 years old when these cars were new - B&W photos in magazines and - of course - B&W TeeVee were the norm then - so B&W shots of cars of the '50's are especially good memory triggers.

Great job and thanks for posting.

I agree. Except Jer is a lot younger than I thought he was.

Clean, crisp, sharp shots!
I like how you presented this series in B&W.
Great shots!

I am about to store my uncle's '56 Bel Air in my garage for an indefinite period, though it is not in near as good condition as these.

Very nice image of a classical Chevy. We bought our first "new" car in 1957 but settled for a Pontiac.
