An Empty Beach
Lens: DA 70L Camera: K20D Photo Location: Quintana Beach, TX ISO: 100

A couple of shots of the beach I took yesterday. The first one, I suppose, breaks some exposure "rules" but I sorta like it.

I like these, Jer, especially the first one. It reminds me of hazy, warm sunny days when the glare is brilliant but the sun diffuse. Definitely evokes a constellation of recollections about the smell and feel of the air, and the breeze on my skin.

Nice and relaxing photos, we were in that area years back, do you ever go to Brazona wildlife area and take photos there?

Hey, Bob - thanks much. I've not been to the wildlife area to do any shooting, even though it's no more than 20 minutes from my house. I also need to get up to Brazos Bend Park - which has (based on postings of others here) lot's of photographic raw material.

It has been years, but I do remember lots of wildlife, including alligators. Make sure and take a portrait lens so you can get up close and personal.

That first shot is quite evocative. Can almost feel the damp and too-cold-for-comfort sand under my feet.

The first is like a mini silhouette shot and the beach being empty means plenty of room for yourself and the missus TFS Jer

The thatched canopies do attract attention in these scenes.
Thanks for sharing Jer.
