Here's a shot of some BIG power lines running along part of the Intracoastal near Freeport, TX.

This definitely draws the eye! Leaving you to wonder what is at the end of it. I like it!
In my part of the world, they sometimes steal power lines like that at night and sell it as scrap metal the next day, leaving whole neighbourhoods without power. Telephone wires in rural areas are non-existent, because of this problem.

Good heavens Christo. Wouldn't that ruin you morning desire for a cuppa if you couldn't plug the pot in!
Nice shot Jer.

Susan, one thing I've learned in life is that "man" can be quite adaptable if needed.
You always need backups, like generator, gas stove and lots of fire wood, but life goes on

Thanks much - we fortunately don't typically have trouble with folks steeling power lines, but over the last few years (as commodity prices have increased) a lot of copper has been pinched in the Houston area.

very good composed! I also feel that the composition makes it look like a wider FL than 70, on the other side.....those poles looks really high.

Thanks, Swede. I absolutely agree about you FL comment - and this shot is cropped! I tried the shot first with my DA 35L, but it was too wide and switched to the 70. I would have tried something longer, as well, but didn't have anything with me.
