These are just snapshots but I thought some of you who have never been there would enjoy seeing scenes from the academy.

Susan, we have never visited there, I bet the grounds are perfectly clean and maintained. That is what we found when we visited the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. It really makes you proud to be an American. thanks for sharing. Bob

We have been to every academy except the Coast Guard and I hate that we haven't made it there because the work they do is pretty much unheralded and pretty darn important.
The Air Force Academy wins hands down simply for the position of the chapel but the Naval Academy and West Point each have their own particular beauty.

Great travel pics, Susan. Is that statue one of Patton?

A million years ago, I was in the Army (ROTC), but I've never seen West Point. Thanks for posting these.
