Flora and fauna survey
Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Hunter Valley, Australia
Posted By: photosensitive, 01-29-2011, 04:40 AM

My first photo post! Photos are from a flora and fauna survey I did in the Hunter Valley last week, during temperatures of up to 43 degrees celcius. Lots of insects around (and nothing much else) due to the heat!

All photos with K-5, mostly with Tammy 90mm macro except where noted. When used, flash was handheld.

The Litora capture is delightfully detailed and sharp.
Well done with it.
Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks guys.

The first insect is a new one to me, I can't find anything remotely close in any online image database, but it is certaintly a Hemipteran . Seemed to be adapted well to life on the spotted gums.
