Zoo elephants
Lens: 50-200WR Camera: k10D Photo Location: Cameron Park Zoo

Had som time to kill while waiting on my wife and the weather was nice so I took a short walk a the zoo. Late afternoon the elephants are usually around the back gate or fence, eating or waiting on dinner, but today one was near the front. The light was decent so I snapped a few with the 50-200 WR I picked up recently. Most were shot at ISO 100/125, F5.6, and at 150 to 200mm.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I do have to admit it has taken me 15 years to get some decent pics of our elephants. And since I've had a membership for years, I'm a frequent visitor. Most of the times I've been they just wouldn't cooperate or the lighting was horrible. Yesterday, this fellow just wandered over near the front and stayed for a while. At one point, when there were about six people with cameras, he even seemed to pose. Right profile, left profile, face on, and with one leg in the "Captain Morgan" position.
