The Oregon coast w/K10D and DA 50-200mm

I had a lot of fun last weekend with this combo, even though it was overcast and rainy most of the time.

Very nice. Beautiful sunset. I really like the composition of the first one but it looks like it could benefit from some quick level and color adjustment......do you mind if I give it a shot?

Go for it... I did a very mild levels adjustment... left the wb where it was... I used the cloudy preset.

I should have waited until I got home as my home monitor is way better at displaying colors than my crappy work one, so I apologize if this is overdone. I'll have to check when I get home.

That's not bad, but some of the details in the white waves are washed out. It was a gray, dark, rainy, windy day... my version is actually a bit lighter than the actual seen as I saw it. I was trying to keep some of the mist around the rocks in, but it just gives it that hazy look.

I do all my work on a Powerbook monitor, so any color accuracy for me is pretty much a guess!

Living on the Oregon coast, I think the first one captures the feeling of a rainy day very well. Nicely done.

I like the sunset with the pelicans too. But I think the horizon is slightly askew?

It sure looks like you are enjoying your DA 50-200mm.

Ahhh. Viewing from a good monitor certainly makes a difference!
