More snow
Lens: DA* 16-50 Camera: K-7

We have a weird storm. It started as snow/sleet, went to rain, then sleet again, then snow. It was a mess. Very heavy stuff. However, since everything was wet, then freezing, the snow did some cool stuff to the trees. This is the road in and out of where I live. I slowed way down (barely moving slow, no one was behind me) and shot through the windshield.

Oh wow Jim. That's gorgeous. I want to be there. The snow in and of itself is fine. It was the two-day power outage taking our water with it (we're on a well and the pump is electric) and the fact that one of my sons was in surgery and needed a place with electricity and heat and water to recoup that threw a wrench in the whole experience.

Mel, my best to your young 'un - especially under such trying circumstances.

I dig the shot - reminds me of the winters we lived in Ohio.

Thanks all. Son is fine. It was outpatient surgery on a broken wrist with collosally bad timing. We put him in a hotel room and that got him through the worst of it. Everything is fine and somewhat normal. Except my fridge and freezer are considerably lighter now . I really hate having to throw out food.

Terrific photo... I love the way everything looks after a storm like that... problem is it usually causing all kinds of issues with trees falling on cars and houses, hydro towers and lines coming down... But, it definitely has a very special and ephemeral beauty.
