May not be prety but sure are tasty! Thanks for posting these great shots Tom, you're an awesome photog and the birds are lucky to have someone like yourself out there.

Wow! Both are outstanding shots. I've struggled to get good shots of birds in flight. Great job. Do you give lessons? :-)

I dunno...

Tom, #1 is a beautiful image! #2 needs some makeup though... Is that second one a bad hair day or what??

So roughly where in the 1000 Islands area are you? I have family in Kingston - don't need an address or anything, just curious.

Cheers,
Marc

That Blue heron is a stunning shot Tom. The wings just jump out of the picture they are so sharp. I'll sign up for the lessons as well. For the turkey shot, they have very nice plumage (at least the males do) and that would have been nice to see as well. Don't get me wrong, the shot is technically perfect, just would've liked to see the whole bird.

Thanks, guys...

#2 is tasty all right! Wild turkey puts domestic birds to shame.

Marc- just down the road from Kingston near Gananoque.

Peter - the bird was too close to get a better shot - this is almost full frame. Once she saw me, she disappeared in a flash.

Tom,

These are really well done images. Beautiful.

The turkey reminds me somewhat of the Belgian wildlife artist Carl Brenders paintings. Great detail with dramatic bokeh.

All that I can say is Nice Tom

Your birds in flight shots always amaze me.

That turkey reminds me that Christmas is just around the corner.
