WOw @ the sunrise shot! I think scenes like that would be best captured using HDR maybe?

The sunset and sunrise shots look incredible. I was thinking about a visit to Maui, maybe now I'll have to nudge my wife a little more so we can go.

Very nice series and I like #2 the best. Love the clouds around the mountains below you. Must look very good in a larger size.

We're heading there in a few months (going to do some island hopping this time). Where was the waterfall shot taken? Beautiful shots, by the way... particularly the sunrise.

Thanks for all the comments!!

That particular waterfall is at the O'heo falls, or the 7 Sacred Pools in Haleakala National Park - just past Hana. If you go to the flickr link, there are several of the same falls.

The #2 pic above, sunrise - was taken at the top of Haleakala. Great place to watch the sunrise if you are ok with getting up at 3am Do it the first day there if you are travelling from the US - much easier. The foreground is way underexposed of course, but truth be told, there is nothing there anyway, just the road up to the parking lot I have a whole series of these shots, include a 360 degree pano from the top of the volcano that I still have to stitch together - not sure how my system is going to handle 25+ raw files

Very very nice set and of course #1 really shines! Would love to visit some Pacific islands one day!

Cheers.

That sunset is a favorite of mine as well - its not even that processed. Those colors are pretty much what they were in the sky. Some of the sunsets we saw were amazing, I kept thinking I'd got the best colors captured, and it would get better!

Thanks again!
