wow, you were so lucky to see the bird in action! Thanks so much for sharing your photos... I would have been over the moon for such an opportunity! # 3 really give us a good look at his raptor bill, and the colouring on his wings, both on top and under is really beautiful.

That's a youngster right? Beautiful bird. We have only seen one a couple of times. Thanks for sharing.

This one was in a tree 20 yards from the bald eagle I posted some pictures of on the same page here. I was waiting for the baldie to fly and this one just squaked and shrilled and took off. I couldn't even see it in the tree. It was a really good day!

Slowpez, this one was definately smaller than the bald eagle if that is any indication.
