Remains of a (small) fishing industry
Lens: DA* 16-50mm Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Laaksum, the Netherlands ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/6s Aperture: F6.7

There used to be hearing in the sea, no it's a lake and most of the fish is gone. That hearing was processed in this small building at Laaksum. According to Wikipedia once the smallest fishing village in Europe. There is one surviving fisherman active.

Thanks! I opted for these conversions because the white brick of the building was rather dull whilst this building does have a (photographic) story to tell.

As the others have said, very poignant photos and the PP treatment is excellent. Well done.

Thank you for looking and commenting! I did have some help with the second picture though. After a very useful comment on the second picture on the Dutch Pentax forum I cropped it slightly. So I can't take full credit for that photo..
