Valentine's Day Gift
Lens: 43 Ltd Camera: K5 Photo Location: Shanghai ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F2

So as usual when this time of year comes around I'm at a total loss as to what to give (all that pressure from the media has me a quivering wreck in case I buy / do the wrong thing) !

This year I'm going with a Chinese Calligraphy set (we had fun trying to use traditional brushes and copy the writing of yore at a party last week) and a 16x12 framed photo of my wife that I took two days ago (with the 43 Ltd) and that she hasn't seen yet (the actual print has a little more of the right side trimmed off). It will be ready 15.30 on the 13th - I hope she likes it !

n.b. Chinese people (or maybe most Oriental people ?) love shots of themselves - hence it's not one of me !

She should like it (and the calligraphy set). But why isn't this pretty lady not smiling more and looking at the camera?

Very lovely lady, I think she will appreciate that the photo is not a staged shot. Nice choice of lens, Bob

Excellent shot, sharp focus where it should be and soft Bokeh to contrast the sharpness. Well done, I'm sure she'll love it.
