There is Hope!
Lens: Kiron 105 2.8 Macro Camera: K20D Photo Location: Texas ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/15s Aperture: F11

I found this little bloom in one of my Galleries...shot on Feb 28th 2007.......only a few days difference from where we stand today! So there is hope that this cold and blizzardly weather is soon to be history!

This is usually the first little tiny (it would all fit on a dime) weed to bloom in my yard, and it signals that winter was once again defeated!
Regards!

Little mouths reaching up to the sky for warmth and sunshine!

Beautiful picture Rupert and I do hope it bodes well for the rest of this month for you. Do you have any idea what type of flower it is? Looks like it may be some kind of orchid? Whatever it is the color is wonderful and you can even see its hairy little head.

Nice detail and colours in this nature shot from you Rupert.
Never knew weeds could look that pretty (if we can even say that about weeds).

Thanks guys...at long last the end of winter will soon be in sight again. I found one of the little plants today, and it is green and healthy, so in a few weeks it will bloom once more!
Regards

BTW- I love weeds, they are often spectacular Macro subjects! I fight Mrs Rupert every year about mowing the yard and destroying my subjects! It only saves me for a few weeks until she decides to mow it herself......still, I'm the winner! LOL!

Another yard favorite...very tiny wild onions in bloom.
