Cherry blossom on a grey, wet day · 07:45 AM

Its wet, grey and blowy here: all in all not macro weather.I fear my cherry blossom will be gone before the good weather arrives.

Just in case I grabbed this today.

Pretty flowers. Hope the cold doesn't affect the cherries or are these ornamental only.

Had a problem with cherry mites last year which almost killed tree. It was too young year before. Will find out in the summer unless the birds get them. A couple of squirrels steal my Hazel nuts off my trees :-(

A nice shot Gareth and if you don't mind me suggesting, adding a little contrast and dropping back the brightness slightly will sharpen up the detail in the subject matter, ie, the blossoms. It will also add depth to the colour. If you use Photoshop for your PP then this can easily be done. The composition is good in this shot.
