I just got my camera yesterday so I went out and picket up a flowering plant to play with. These were taken with the K110D with the DA 18-55 at 55mm in Macro mode with everything else set to auto.

Both images are from the same plant. I can't wait to get some better/stronger lenses.

All I can say Is WOW those are really nice shots, the colors stand out, the focus is spot on. Cant wait to see more. Glad you like your new camera. The 18-55mm is a very good lens. try the 50-200mm next I think youll like it even more. Heres an example of the 50-200mm.
this is a flower shot I took this past Sunday the camera is a Pentax istDL the lens is the Pentax DA 50-200mm ISO is 200 and I had the zoom to 200mm. I was about 3feet away from the subject. there was no crop except for the camera lens width

Thanks for the comments, I am getting the DA 50-200 as well as the AF360 flash. I hope to do some very artistic looking compositions.
