Portrait of my girlfriend
Posted By: G-Diesel, 02-14-2011, 06:53 AM

This was part of some test shots I took of my girlfriend with my brand new D-FA 100mm Macro WR and I'd say this is by far the sharpest and most wonderful lens I've ever touched. (I only shoot DSLRs since last year though, lol).

Very nice shot! Good energy and sharpness where needed.

Thank you so much guys! Any advice on the best (around) 50mm prime for Pentax (regardless of cost)?
No contest: the FA43 Limited.

Wow! She sure is pretty and you've captured that very well.
The processing looks great too.

Thanks a lot to you all again.

@rparmar: I'm saving for the FA43.

If portraits are your preference you might want the FA77 instead. Both are great.

Crisp, stunning, classic.
I like it too.
While you're at it, save up for the 31 too. It's great with full body portraits.

Since this pic was accepted by PPG, I've uploaded another one of her. Crossing fingers.

Here's the other one I uploaded:

Very nice also - though I prefer the B&W version - her pose is very striking.

Thanks! This last pic was taken using the DA 16-45mm f4 and I must say that the sharpness and color rendition of this lens is pretty impressive for a relatively cheap zoom.

The DA 16-45 is amazing and no doubt about it.

It's actually my daily lens, I love it. It had two previous owners before me and the only thing I'm missing is the lens hood. The original one is too damn expensive and 3rd party ones aren't that good...
