Where is the square located? Looks like the orient. You have some sensor dust in the upper right of the photo (2), a half circle about halfway up and to the right of the flagpole and another little spot just above the right side of the building (not real sure about that one though.) I hate those little dust bunnies but sometimes they have babies.

It used to be called The Forbidden City, meaning: no-one could enter or leave the palace without the emperor's permission. That's cool!

BTW, for those not wanting to read about this interesting piece of our history, there's an excellent movie, directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, called The Last Emperor. It should be easily available at your local Blockbuster store.

Hoping you find it interesting.

Manel Brand - this is not the Forbidden City (aka The Imperial Palace) which is just across the road !

Tiananmen is where the Chinese govt holds it's parades and is the site of Mao Ze Dong's mausoleum.

Love the blue sky! It is a big idea on "Square" if more photo can support this!
