Thanks! I have several shots, but I preferred that one because he looked up and caught the light in his eye.

Nice shot Rob--reminds me of the one that I bagged in Aruba several years ago.
Also thanks for the heads up on LZW when converting my TIFF shot. When I went to save it it was already checked for LZW.--charliezap

Good one Rob - shows you what the 55-300 can do.

Thanks! Looks like your lizard was an iguana of some kind.

No worries - I was concerned when you mentioned a file size of 80MB. An LZW compressed TIFF should be similar in size to the RAW file.

Thank you! I'm glad I had it on 400ISO and with Program mode set to bias toward shutter speed - it helped keep the image crisp despite being hand held.

Thanks Bob - one day I'll get back to Lamington National Park at the right time of year to get a photo of an Angle-headed Dragon. They look even more ancient!

Thanks! The males in breeding season have a red colouring on their chest, which makes for cool photos - it's a bit late for that, so I'll have to wait for spring.

My multiquote seems to have lost a couple of people. Thanks to everyone who responded. As Ash mentioned, it really shows what the 55-300 can do. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get good glass, but it helps to get something better than a kit lens.
