Ahhh a nice bottle of wine (or cold cerveza or some Captain Mogans spiced Rum) a cool breeze , comfortable rocking chair and great company on our ground floor balcony offered nightly views of the golden hour ......

Wow - Tough gig Dave.
I'm surprised you went back home with views like this!
Great colors - You captured them well.

I'm assuming they weren't hand-held - What with the liquid refreshment and all.....

Great shots Dave, but you and I have different ideas about what constitutes "afternoon delight".

what does a room with a view and a bottle of rum cost in Costa Rica? Beautiful shots and I bet they were handheld, you had a rum drink right, and that takes away the shakes, so no tripod needed. Bob

Yeah it was Tim thanks - I did lug way too much camera gear (bit really is there ever enough ?) and my 9lb tripod . I did take some of the sunsets with the tripod , but the Rum has made me forget which ones

Thanks Jer - now Beef was hit and miss (more miss) in the area we were in. I learned to ask where the beef was from - local not so good - if it was from Nicaragua it at least it had a chance. But I live in Beef country so did not miss it and I love seafood so generally stuck with that.

Thanks manishved it was a site for sure. Clouds make all the difference and I was amazed at how fast the sun goes down over the ocean.

Thanks Bob - well now all you need is a brother in law (or insert relative you like) with a freaking monster of a mansion on the beach (he is who I aspire to be - very very very very well off - I think the word is Rich ) so the room rent cost us a couple of dinners and drinks.

In this area there were all kinds of accomadations , from very basic B&B to the Playa Flamingo that looked like a decadent tourist resort. As for the rum - we bought a bottle of Captains Morgan Spiced Rum in Liberia - I don't think it was really cheap (maybe some of the local rum was) - If I remember correctly it was about $16.00 ? It was cheaper in some resturants !

Now that you mention it, buddy, I guess great seafood in paradise is better than a "cheeseburger in paradise", even if the burger is "heaven on earth with an onion slice."

Dave, that is so unfair of you to post these. I want to go and sit next to you. Can I adopt your brother-in-law? I would make a really great relative.
