Nice series. Isn't amazing that through all the rough winter weather that leaves can stay on the trees and seeds on plants. I have been trying to find some isolated leaves like you did also with mixed results though. Very nicely done here

Lovely series and the bokeh is wonderful especially on the first one. Love the third one.

Very nice, Tess. For some reason I like it when you can see the out-of-focus patches of sky between the branches, like in #2. Thanks for sharing!

Truely beautiful images!

I found the picture #6 particularly striking... superb!
(the leaf in #2 and the closer view in #8 are also very very nice)

4 (apparently) but I'll bet you could do more. Nice series I like the leafs that hang on past their time.

Top work as ever. You seem to be able to get lovely crisp results, no matter what subject you choose. Look forward to seeing the next installment

BIG Thanks

Thank you all for you kind comments. This is all so encouraging and motivational. I have been working hard at this macro stuff... I went out yesterday without the tripod and saw potential in so many shots I headed out again today with the tripod for retakes. Some are okay, while others lost the magic of yesterday.

So now I am going to inundate this thread with a bunch more groupings. Anyone who wants to add to the thread is most welcome.

Thanks again for looking!!!!!!!!!!!

(This is such a great place to hang my hat )

Thanks Marcus --- I am glad you like them. That lens is really the very best for these types of shots. The colours vibrant and the bokeh always very interesting.

Crazysaint, thanks for reviving the thread. I am finding these images hard to beat. I am waiting for spring too so I have different subjects to practice on...

How about you? How is the macro work going??

I got a new lens... a DA21 Ltd and I have been having fun and trying different shots to see what the lens can do. I am going to start a new thread to post a few.

Cheers!
