It's nice to have the little guys this close. I spent some time with my tripod perched in front of the window, watching these guys hanging around the bird feeders. These birds would rather forage in the snow than eat directly from the feeder. They seem to enjoy looking for seeds under the snow.

Thanks guys... Scot that bokeh is some fairly large fir trees that grow along my lot line with fresh snow on them. Even if the birds are on my porch rail, they still get a nice natural looking back drop. I especially like the snow flakes, although with 10-12 inches expected it would be OK if there were fewer of them.

Ha, ha. There is something noticeably stoic about #4. He seems resigned to his birdie fate. These guys don't really sing, they sort of twitter. We do have a yellow breasted swallow around, and that bird sings. They hardly ever come to the feeder though. It's really hard to get a picture of them, you have to be lucky.
