Thanks to all for your kind comments. These were actually kind of throw-aways as I walked to the National Botanic Gardens at the base of Capitol Hill. Images to follow...
Anyway in answer to the questions.
#3 is a single frame image (not HDR), but I did tweak it a bit with Topaz Adjust, which many use to spice up HDR images after tone compression. I truly recommend this PS -Plug In, although over use and abuse are always sitting at my right hand....
These shots were all hand held, although I have not found to much problem tripod use. It seems very possible that some nervous policeman might express concern. I found the same problem across the Thames from Westminister Abbey, with a "no tripod zone." One aspect of the National Botanic Gardens Building that was partcularly interesting was that tripods were permitted! Apparently, if you arrive on a "not crowded day" or at a "not crowded time", you can obtain one of the 2 "tripod" permits available at the desk. As in most cases, the concern is foot traffic in tight spots. So, I will probably return with my tripod at some point.
Finally, thank-you again for your kind comments about the K-200D sensor. While, I'm eagerly saving for the big K-5, I hope leaving the K200D behind will not be somewhat of a disappointment at times. Sort of like shooting with the FA77mm, some very good highs, (and troubling lows)..
