A Sugar Glider which I photographed back in around 1985 on Fujichrome 100 slide film. My film scanner is working again!

Rob, those were the days right, take photos, send film in and wait for the results and then if you can afford it, convert to slide. I took so many photos that did not turn out like I had envisioned, you actually got one of this marsupial, the little guy my daughter thought was so cute and the photos never turned out like I had hoped. Long story I know, but photos do bring back memories. thanks Bob

Glad to bring back some memories, Bob! Yes, you tended to think a lot more carefully before pressing the shutter release when it was film. Luckily when I took this photo I had help. One friend was holding a small piece of crust dipped in honey, and another was holding a torch at an angle away from me to I could focus and so the possum didn't look directly at the flash to generate eyeshine. I had a fantastic photo which I use for my avatar on this site of a Ringtail Possum, but sadly the slide has disappeared. Possibly one of the best photos I ever took on film, and it's gone. Nice memories though!
