The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace and Defence Exposition (aka Avalon Airshow) had its public events this weekend. I'm going to put one of the last photos first, because the events on the airstrip ended with a bang.

I've posted a whole bunch of photos from Saturday's flying and static displays in the Aviation social group.

Thanks Bob! It took about a third of a second for the shock from the pyrotechnics to reach where I was standing...

Great shots. I much prefer the airplane shots where there is some of the environment in it rather than the jet fighter filling 90% of the frame photos and these two do that in spades.

Thanks! I confess I have cropped a lot of them closer to the plane - mostly because the 1024 pixel limit on the forum makes it preferable to do so.
