Meanwhile- up north.

It's so nice people are posting pictures of crocuses and daffodils. We got a foot of snow overnight.

But I can still take bird pictures off the front porch.

Ok switch to the DA* 60-250, tell me about the lousy bokeh cause it's a zoom.

Proper feeder technique, one foot in the hole.

Good technique, good results.

Great shots, Norm, especially the feeding technique and the motion blur one. It's a nice cabin in the northern woods you've got. Yeah, sorry about those crocuses.

Love these shots, sharp focus with nice natural colour and lighting. Looks peaceful there.

Thanks for the comments guys. That's our guest cabin. The picture is taken from the kitchen window. People stay there when they come to visit. A couple of my buds kept the fire going in there at 28 below, and seemed to enjoy it.

great shots. you have a great front yard. As for the snow, when will it go? Winter seems to want to stay, putting in for spring to start now so I can share those flowery pictures too.

the snow covered cabin is very nice, when is it going to stop snowing? Let those poor birds come in for a bit to warm up. Nice shot and thanks for sharing Bob

I can't believe how narrow my driveway is. The snow was so heavy, my little Suzuki Sidekick converted to a plow just won't widen it without spinning. I had to clean up with the snow blower after plowing. It's heavy heavy snow. ( Thats "2 heavies" or "too heavy" depending on how you hear it.)

A few more shots from taking the dogs out to throw the ball a bit. A few to show the snow banks..

And a few shots of the snow removal equipment.

That first shot almost looks like a Christmas card. The bird shots are really fantastic. So sharp. My favorite has to be the blurred one. It is very abstract but you know instantly what it is and I love that little bit of snow his tail kicked up. Nice series Norm.
