Where the Antelope Play
Camera: K-x Photo Location: Wyoming
Posted By: Bob Harris, 03-06-2011, 09:31 PM

Wyoming is the 10th largest state in the U.S. and is the least populated, under 600,000 residents live in the state. This is a vast wide open beautiful state where the antelope are plentiful,, curious and make their "Home on the Range".

Thanks Barry, lots of wide open country to breathe in Wyoming. Is it your turn to change the baby yet?

I actually had to come back to work after taking a week + off. Poking around on PF while at work helps me get through the day.

The three were youngsters I think and very curious. I stopped to take a photo and got back in the Jeep and started off and they ran with us for about a mile. I stopped a couple of times and each time they would stop and just took at us.

Jim, the black in hills are actually pine trees, same type that the Black Hills of SD have. Local Indian tribes believed the mountains had magic due to the color change during the day as the sun crossed the Mt's. thanks Bob

thanks Dave, the 2nd photo was taken out the window as we traveled on this dirt road in the back country. Spooked a herd of about 25 pronghorns and these cut right in front of me and I snapped the the photo while we bumped along the road.

I lived in Wyoming for a long time, but am now stuck in New York. :-( These pictures are a good example of why I miss it out there so much.

what a change for you. The photos were taken in the Buffalo/Sheridan area and the high desert photo was west of Cheyenne
