Where Have They Gone?
Lens: 18-55, 50 f/1.4 Camera: K-x Photo Location: Alabama

I found this place a couple of weeks ago only about 1/2 mile from where I work. Stuck back on a hill in the middle of some trees mostly hidden from the road. Seeing places is such condition make me wonder what happened here, what the place might have been like before it's fall from grace, and what kind of memories have been left behind.

Where Have They Gone?

Shelter in Shambles

Doorway to Destruction

Empty Cupboards

A Little Worse For the Wear
Saw this shirt hanging from what was left of the ceiling

Barry, the series of photos make a person stop and think. Lost the farm, death in the family, tornado or just too run down to make repairs at some point. That is a real fixer upper. Bob

I am sure there are many areas like this. Hard to believe someone lived there at one time. Looks like these were done in film Barry. JIM

I wonder too what caused it to become so run down.

I've passed by this place for the past 4+ years and just noticed it a couple of weeks ago. No film here, just some PP work to try and give it an older feel.

Great shots - lots of questions, but no answers.

Very evocative shots Barry. The muted colors suit them so well.

Thank you for the comments Scott. I see these kinds of buildings all the time, just never stopped to shoot one. It was fun.
