The first picture was taken with the DA 18-135, the more macro of the others were taken with a Tamron 90mm macro.

I'm assuming you used a polarizer on the first? I still haven't picked one of those up. Such rich blues in the sky. Looks like the dude at the bottom is peeing on the rock.

I'm likin' the lichen photos too, nice textures.

Yes , we picked up polarizers on our new lenses (both of them) and also for a few older ones. We have so many photos where the sky didn't show what we were looking at when we took the picture. We just had to do something.

and peeing schmeeing.

Lichen, isn't that a polite word for fungus. Either way nice series and thanks for the view up there. Bob

Ya, who'd read a thread called "we like fungus?" It's all about maintaining our readership. I think lichens are a symbiotic organism that is part plant and part fungus. I'd wiki it but I'm eating breakfast.

I'm likin' the lichen. OK, I couldn't resist it but those are some really lovely patterns there.

The lichens on this rock face were out of this world interesting. Art at nature's most creative. I could have taken a hundred shots if I thought there was something to do with them.
