Old Barn at Sunset

I like both of these and cannot decide which is better. The first I had to clone out some wires and a clothe rack, but I like the composition. The second, I did not have to clone out anything, but I am not sure if the composition is as good. Comments, suggestions on PP and noted preference most welcome.

#1 has more depth to it for me Tess.
It also eliminates the sky competing for attention from the subejct.
The perspective is not all that different from #2 and there is more texture to the snow particularly on the roof in #1 compared with #2.
The only better aspect about #2 is the absence of the slightly distracting foreground bush at image right in #1.

I like the first one better also Tess. The snow picked up some lovely pastel colors from the setting sun in both. The bush on the bottom right doesn't bother me as I think it adds a mini-frame to the scene. Kind of holding that edge in the frame. I've never been a fan of a flat out frontal view of a building preferring angles and both of these have that perspective. The sky in the second one doesn't add much to the scene.

I like the composition in the first one better than that of the second. On my monitor (and through my bleary old eyes) the texture of the barn seems better defined and more interesting in the second. Either way, a nice pic, tess.

I would have to go with #1 also, the bush doesn't add anything for me. The sun takes away from #2, which doesn't add to your photo.
Can we see a photo without snow, that would be interesting also. Bob
