Fiery weather in Southern California

Southern California is on fire again, but luckily, my parents' house is 20-30 miles away from the closest fire. With the very strong winds that we've been having, we're still get a lot of smoke and ash.

Good captures of this event. Years ao there were fires in Quebec and the winds blew the smoke to Halifax 700+ Kms away. It was so dark the street lights came on at 2 pm in the summer. weird how the colour of the sun came out in these shots.

Actually, that was really the color of the sun. When it was setting earlier, it looked like a large, solid, reddish disc in the sky.
