Pandas
Lens: tamron 28-300 Camera: K100d Photo Location: Wolong China

These are some photos from our trip to China (The one with momma & baby are from the San Deigo zoo). We got to go in the enclosure and play with the pandas. They were 1 year old. Had pandas wrapped around both legs. MAJOR
experience.

How can you not love a panda. They let inside the enclosure? That must have been something.

Yes. Both my wife and I were inside. Had 10 pandas playing
with us. An unbelievable experience.

Wonderful shots ! Chengdu is on our 'places to go' list (just a couple of hours flight from Shanghai) - and after seeing your shots it might well be this year !

These were in Wolong. It was destroyed last year ( or year before)
In an earthquake. They are rebuilding in a different location.
All the pandas have been relocated to Chendu, so that is THE
place to go now for pandas. I know they have a program where
you can have your picture taken with a panda, but don't know
if you can still go into the enclosure. I'll see if I can find the e-mail
address of the tour company we used. It is a small company
that arranges specialized tours. They are quite good. If I can
find it I'll pm you

Very nice photos. I like how they they tell us about the nature of pandas. Im also impressed with
the technical quality. Lots of detail, nicely sharp on pandas and trees, good background and contrast, how the eyes are black and shiny, lively and the wood feels dry like wood.

Thanks DMA. If you arranged from overseas I'm sure it'll be substantially overpriced to that which my wife (Chinese) will be able to find here - though I appreciate your kind offer !

I believe I saw on the news here that everything was fully operational again in Wolong (maybe operational but not open to tourists) - I'll have to check that out, wouldn't want to fly to Wolong when the pandas are in Chengdu !
