Streets in selective colour
Camera: K-x Photo Location: Melbourne
Posted By: twitch, 03-14-2011, 02:39 PM

Last month I was hooked on slow shutter speed, this month I got hooked on that old cliche selective colour. Four were taken with a DA21, the other a FA31.

Thanks. I use Aperture & Nik pluggins for my post processing. The new Silver Efex Pro 2 makes it very easy to do selective colouring (the original Silver Efex couldn't). I'm sure there are many ways to achieve this effect, but this is the one I use and find it very fast, just a mater of dropping in a control point and winding up the selective colour value for that control point.

The pluggins are fairly costly though bought on a one by one basis, I bought the "Complete Collection" which packages Silver Efex, Color Efex, HDR Efex, Dfine and Sharpener Pro. I use the first 3 a lot.

Great photograpy, if you can do this with a K-x, why upgrade to a K-5. Just asking? thanks Bob

Thanks! There's nothing wrong with the K-x sensor, but everything around that sensor is getting to be a bit restrictive. Well, it's either that or pure gear lust, hard to say which
