Early Morning Squirrel
Lens: Bigma 50-500 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Texas Aperture: F8
Posted By: Rupert, 03-18-2011, 06:43 AM

It is fantastic to be able to go out in the early morning light with the K5 and Bigma and find that the Bigma no longer spends 10 minutes hunting and grinding gears like it used to. Just locks focus fast and easy. Nice quiet shutter action......Otis doesn't like that, he wants a loud bang, but I sure like it!
Regards!

1/80 500mm F8 ISO 2000 (no noise reduction)

Breakfast for Otis.....

The K5 may not make me a better shooter, but it is already letting me get shots I used to miss regularly. Thanks Otis for ordering me this fine camera!

More lenses? I have the Fuji X100 coming next month. I've got to stop somewhere, but since Otis stole my passwords, he just keeps ordering things. Yesterday a dump truck dumped a load of Texas sized pecans on my front lawn....Squirrels from all over the county are having a giant party......I don't mind that so much, but I don't like it that they throw their beer cans all over the place. The other nuisance is that they drink all that beer and then just stand up and pee all over the place.....don't even bother to hide behind a tree....disgusting!
Best Regards!

Lovely shot - I got some Chinese squirrels last week, I must process them and post, they look quite different (not as handsome as Otis at all .... but good for a mail-order bride perhaps) ?

Rupert, sounds like 2 great combos, that K5 and Bigma, and you and Otis. I think you're close to honorary squirrel status. Does Otis get a nickel for hits on his photos?

Thanks guys, Otis appreciates any views or comments on handsome Squirrels, and encourages others to get out and shoot him some more for viewing on his Big Screen TV. Don't worry if they are naked females, doesn't bother Otis at all if they are not "Worksafe"..........since he never intends to work.

That seems obvious....(shot through a dirty window...at ISO 5000....K5)
