Night into day - Perigee Moon
Lens: 18-35 Camera: D700 Photo Location:ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: >6s Aperture: F11

Here's some shots of the perigee last night. Pretty amazing what the moon can do when it's that bright. This was about 9:30PM last night.

Nice pictures. If you clone out the stars in the 2nd one, you can't tell if it's night or day.
I am hoping to get some shots of the moon tonight, but it's started to cloud over.

Yeah, but it's not a very interesting picture either way. So leaving the stars there was the only thing that kind of hints at something different.

I lucked out here in Illinois last night. The worst part was, I forgot my tripod plate at home, and had driven like 45 minutes into nothing to leave out the light polution. I had to prop up the lens, but luckily I brought my 18-35.

Night into Day....

Beautiful shots! I was REALLY looking forward to getting some shots that night, but had to work my regular job that night and just couldn't make time. I have done the same types of shots on other nights with less moonlight and find myself quite fascinated by that style of shooting!
